Beginners & Starting Out
Introductory Sessions
At Seren Dŵr, based at Cardiff International White Water, we offer an exciting introduction to kayaking, with options for both flat water and whitewater. Our paddlers also get to explore the stunning Welsh rivers on day trips and weekends away, making it a perfect mix of adventure and learning.
Beginner-Friendly Kayaking
Most of our members start as complete beginners, and we have courses for all ages—children (8+), teens, and adults. Our "Come and Try It" and beginner sessions are held all year round, giving you plenty of chances to get started. In winter, we offer pool training sessions, a great way to learn paddling in a warm, controlled environment. These sessions include fun games and rolling techniques to help you build confidence and sharpen your skills. With our friendly and expert coaches, we’ll guide you from beginner to expert, all at your own pace.
